Methods In Delusion: Reconstructive Initiative
Sigma was an edification of belief, put to work on human advance and service. Sigma was destruction and reconstruction, eternally powerful, so powerful he could never use his abilities. He wasn’t allowed to have a will, because as the son of a God only he could understand, born so distant and different from humanity; yet raised under their wing: Who was going to buy that this child could save us all?
___
Generally, humans don’t create definite solutions; curiously a deprecated image of them as a mass leads to the consequence of everything they can comprehend is per se deprecated as well. Strangely enough, no matter how far they go, how amazing and astonishing their discoveries become, they tend to lie aside the adoration of a messiah; at least a divine creature to explain what they can’t yet understand; As if they were borrowing their knowledge only for it to be returned, in exchange for salvation.

That wizard’s just a crazy old man.

Dream drop distance was absolutely shameless about the complicity and intimacy Sora and Riku developed through they whole game.
They knew what they wanted. Fuck, they craved for the presence of the other in a way Sora never, ever did for Kairi.

He desired her as part of his natural manhood in development but that relationship never evolved much deeper than what was apparently a certain curiosity about each other. (When Sora sees Belle and the Beast dancing and imagine himself with Kairi) And knowing that Kairi is now not only one of the seven hearts of light but a possible keyblade wielder, how irresponsible would Sora be if he got involved with this woman?

On the other hand we got Riku’s controversial affinity with Sora, and his obvious devotion for everything he represents; not to mention  the pulsating subtext underneath Riku’s nature as Sora’s dreameater. But beyond that classic japanese devotion for friends… there is a relevance in romantic relationships in Kingdom Hearts; since this kind of love is apparently, rare. But we do know as a fact that Sora gets his strength from the people his heart is connected to; wouldn’t the most obvious choice to get strength from be Riku? since he had been diving in his heart for the whatever lapsus Dream Drop Distance lasted?
They managed to make of a whole game a huge methaphor of their connection; the aunthentic reason for each other to be on this journey.

How are they going to deconstruct such a well based couple, if it’s not a secret that there Has to be a romantic relationship in this game?

Congratulations, Shinji!
